The questions we hear most
The things people ask before working with us - how engagements run, what they cost, and who actually does the work - answered the way we’d answer them in person.
What kind of work do you take on?
All of it is software delivery, but across the whole lifecycle: discovery and strategy, design, build, data and AI, infrastructure, security, and the scaling work that follows launch. In practice engagements come in three shapes - a new product built from nothing, a legacy platform brought up to date, or senior engineers strengthening a team you already have - and they often drift between shapes as the work reveals what is actually needed.
How do engagements usually start?
With a conversation that costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Programmes tend to go wrong when everything is agreed before anything is understood, so we avoid the big up-front plan: we talk through where you are, where you need to be, and the lowest-risk route between the two, then scope a short first phase. You see progress before you decide how far to take it.
How is your team structured?
Deliberately flat. At the core is a small team of senior engineers in London - the people you meet in the first conversation are the people who lead the build. The capacity behind us comes from established software companies in Novi Sad - developers we’ve worked with for years, brought in per project. No account managers relaying messages, and no hand-off to a junior team once the contract is signed.
What does it cost?
The honest answer is that it depends on scope - a quote given before the work is understood is a guess. What stays fixed is how the number reaches you: after the first consultation we put an estimate for the first phase in writing, priced against defined outcomes rather than open-ended hours. If something changes it, you hear about it before the invoice does.
Do you work with our existing team and tools?
Yes - and picking up someone else’s codebase, stack and process is normal work for us, not a compromise. We embed alongside in-house teams, follow the conventions you already have, and match your standards rather than importing ours. Owning delivery end to end is there when you want it, not a condition of working together.
How do you handle security and data?
By treating security as part of the build rather than an audit at the end - access control and security review go in from the first increment. Our security by default service sets out the approach. As for this website: it collects no tracking data, and the privacy page has the detail.
