Product & UX design
When software is hard to use, you pay for it twice - once in support tickets, once in workarounds. We research how your users work, get the flows working plainly on real data first, and then design interfaces that make even data-heavy tools feel straightforward.
Service details
At a glance
- User research and usability testing
- Flows proven on real data before they are polished
- Interfaces that meet WCAG accessibility standards
- A design system your team can extend
Design you can measure in the support queue
Good design is not decoration. It is whether a new starter finds their way without a training session, whether the support inbox quietens down, whether people stop keeping a spreadsheet on the side. Those are the outcomes we design for - and research is how we get there, because watching how people work beats asking them how they would like to.
Design what exists, not what might
Screens drawn before the domain is understood are guesses - sixty-four signed-off mock-ups once taught us that the hard way. So the critical flows get built plainly first: barely styled, wired to real data, and put in front of real users. The design work starts once the states are known, and decisions get made on what those users did rather than on what the loudest voice in the review predicted.
- Plain, working flows on real data before any polish
- Usability sessions on the real thing, not a clickable picture
- Design decisions backed by observed behaviour
Built to be built
Designers and engineers work side by side here, so what gets designed can be built without heartbreak. Handover is developer-ready - components, patterns and documentation, not a folder of images to reverse-engineer - and accessibility is in from the first screen, because retrofitting it is miserable work.
Frequently asked questions
- Do you test designs with real users?
- Yes - on working software. The flows go up plainly on real data first, so usability sessions test the real thing and the expensive discoveries happen before anything is polished.
- Can you work with our existing brand?
- We design within it, and can evolve it gently if it is holding the product back. Anything we build extends the visual identity you already have.
- Is accessibility included?
- By default. We design to WCAG standards from the first screen - cheaper than retrofitting, and better for everyone who uses the product.
- What do we get at handover?
- A developer-ready design system: components, patterns and documentation your team can extend, so future screens stay consistent without coming back to us.
