Technical due diligence
Deals move fast and pitches polish well. We look underneath - the code, the team, the delivery record - and report what we find in plain language with the risks costed, so you can price the deal, negotiate, or walk away with your eyes open.
Service details
At a glance
- Codebase and architecture assessment
- A view on the team and how it ships
- Security and technical-debt risks, costed
- A report written for boards and engineers alike
The truth, at deal speed
When money and reputation ride on a decision, you need an honest read on the technology - and you usually need it inside a fortnight. We work to deal timelines, quietly and under NDA, and we do not pad the findings. If the codebase is sound, we say so. If it is held together with hope, we say that too.
The code, the team, the risks
Code and architecture first: is it built well, will it scale, and what will it cost to run and grow? Then the people: can this team ship, and what happens if two of them leave? Then the risks that tend to bite after closing - security, technical debt, and delivery promises the team cannot keep. Where access is limited we still give you a useful view, with the caveats stated plainly.
- Architecture, code quality and scalability
- Team capability and key-person risk
- Security, debt and the likely cost to remediate
A report you can act on
You get a prioritised set of findings with the likely cost of fixing each, an overall view you can put in front of an investment committee, and direct access to the reviewers for the questions that follow. Enough technical depth to be credible; clear enough that nobody needs a translator.
Frequently asked questions
- How fast can you turn a review around?
- Often within one to two weeks. Tell us the deadline and we will scope the depth to fit it - and be upfront about what a shorter review can and cannot see.
- What access do you need?
- Ideally the codebase, a few hours with the technical team, and whatever architecture or security documentation exists. Less is workable; the caveats just get bigger, and we state them.
- Will the report make sense to non-technical stakeholders?
- Yes. It is written for the committee that decides and the engineers who check - one document, no jargon smokescreen.
- Is the engagement confidential?
- Entirely. NDA as standard, and we are used to working inside sensitive, time-pressured deal processes without leaving ripples.
